Location, travel information and hotel booking
The conference will take place at the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre. This location accommodates conference and hotel rooms and is located on the water's edge, yet within walking distance from the old centre of Amsterdam and the Central Railway Station. Canals and museums are ten-minute walk or five-minute tram ride from the hotel.

Travel
The hotel is easy to reach with public transport. People who are staying at the conference hotel can use the hotel pickup service to Schiphol and Amsterdam Central Station.
The best way to travel from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam is by train. There is a direct train connection between the airport and Amsterdam. It only takes 15-20 minutes to travel to Amsterdam Central Station. Train tickets can be purchased from the ticket office or vending machines at Schiphol Station.
Please be advised that, in the Netherlands, return tickets are valid for one day only. The price of a oneway ticket is € 3.80 second class and € 6.50 first class. Click here for the online journey planner of the Dutch Railway (NS).
Tram number 26 (direction IJburg) will take you from the Central Station to the hotel. Leave the tram at the first stop named 'Muziekgebouw/Bimhuis'.
A taxi from Schiphol Airport will take 20 minutes and the price of the journey will be € 59.-.

Please be aware that you are responsible for your own hotel reservation during conference days. There are different possibilities with regard to rooms. The Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre offers single rooms at € 185.00 including breakfast and excluding city tax of 5%. Hotel accommodation has been pre-booked by Efficient Hotel Partner at favourable rates for conference participants in various 3-4 star hotels. These hotel rooms can be booked online via the conference web site. Please reserve a room no later than august 15 Our room bookings will be released for general sale after this date. Please remember that the cost of hotel accommodation is not included in the conference fee and will be handled by the relevant organisation.
