Disclosure of Financial Relationships to Participants in Clinical Research

The Institute of Medicine's recent report will not put an end to the considerable controversy and policymaking that surround physicians' and medical institutions' possible financial conflicts of interest. However, (...) it was correct to conclude that disclosure is not the remedy that many seek. Still, disclosure may have positive effects on people's satisfaction with and trust in the research process.
