Generic Lipitor Delayed

Generic forms of Lipitor (atorvastatin) will not be released until late 2011, the New York Times reports in its business pages. The drug's manufacturer, Pfizer, has settled a patent claim with a generic drug maker in India, thereby providing protection for its patent for almost 2 years more than analysts had expected, according to the report.
